Well, there's a new site design again today. This time I decided to go with an astronomy theme. I hope the menu graphics are readable. I worked for a long time on them, but I'm not quite sure that they are up to par yet. I have to say, though, that I always have a lot of fun redesigning the site. Even though I'm not using any really fancy code, I'm especially proud of myself for getting it up to the point where I only have to go into two files and change a few variables for the menu, background, and colors to change on the entire site. There are certainly some new coding things I'd like to learn though. It would be nice if my journal were a bit easier to maintain. Right now when I want to make a new entry I have to make changes in 4-5 files. That's pretty good, but I'd like to see if I could make it even easier.

In more exciting news, my husband surprised me last night with tickets to Ireland! This is super exciting since a trip to Ireland was supposed to be our honeymoon, and we STILL haven't gotten to take it. When we got married, we wanted to do it as soon as possible, so somehow with other weddings and church schedules and pastor schedules and parent schedules, we ended up getting married the day before school started. Obviously we didn't have time for a honeymoon then. We didn't really have the money either. We were going to go on our honeymoon the next summer and had purchased tickets with our tax refund, but we were counting on being able to sell our Explorer to finance the rest of the trip. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, no one wanted to buy it. We had been considering going into large amounts of debt, but eventually came to our senses and canceled. We've got a bit more money under our belt now, though, so I think it's really going to happen!

I was so excited to be surprised by this last night. I love surprises, and unfortunately my husband is not very good at them. He gets too excited and lets something slip. It's very cute, but still. He really came through this time though, but, as he said, it was only because he started looking for the tickets 5 hours before he gave them to me and didn't have to actually see or talk to me for long amounts of time in the interim. I'll take what I can get, though. After all, he did also get me a card and a cute certificate and took me out to dinner.

So we're planning on leaving May 21st and getting back June 18th. That's a whole four weeks in Ireland. Yey! I'm really glad that we are going to go now. Since we are trying to get pregnant, if we don't go, we may not get to go for years. It would end up being a retirement trip rather than a honeymoon. Yey!
