Wow. My first journal entry. Let's see if I can think of something to write about. :)

So we were talking about euthanasia in my ethics class this morning, and I raised my hand to say something about it. The teacher said, "I think I'd like to get some opinions from some non-Christian people first." My husband raised his hand and said, "She's not Christian, I am." (His name is Christian.) The rest of the class grinned at him, and the teacher gave him an oblivious look. The teacher in there is pretty funny. He seems to feel like he has to repeat everything three or four times, so the class gets pretty tedious.

Anyone else live in the Midwest and get some of that snow over the weekend? I woke up Friday morning and hear the radio announcer say that we were going to be getting "puppy snow" later in the day. Apparently he really said "fluffy snow," so I was really disappointed later. Talk about raining cats and dogs! I was glad to get one really nice snowfall though. Most people who live around here hate it, probably because they aren't used to it. (Which you can tell when you go driving, there's a car in the ditch every few miles.) I, however, am from Utah, where they get tons of snow all winter. I really miss being able to play in the snow. One year my brother and I made a snow fort out in the front yard and slept in it. We also went cross-country skiing a few times, and who can forget snowmen. The only snowmen you can usually make out here are about a foot tall, tops.

Because of the snow, the building that I work in is leaking again, so there's puddles all over the top floor. They spent a few months working on getting the roof fixed last fall, so you'd think it would work a bit better. People used to put big trashcans under the leaks when it rained hard, and they'd be full in the morning. We had about 5 buckets arrayed around our office, and we still have a bunch of wrinkly papers. Luckily never on my side of the room though. :)

This morning, when I woke up, my husband wasn't in bed. So I went out to look for him, and he wasn't in the house either. I opened the door to see if the car was there, and saw him driving in. He told me to go get back into bed, and I gladly obliged, since I like to sleep. A few minutes later he came in with some eggs and toast. He had been planning on making me breakfast, and then realized we didn't have any groceries in the house. :) It's really nice to have someone make breakfast for me. It's also really nice to have someone who buys me flowers sometime. I don't think anyone had ever bought me flowers before I got married. I wasn't exactly Ms. Social in high school or anything, so it's a nice change.

Well, that's all I have for now. Bye!
